Over the last 30 years or so, my husband and I have participated in several road rallies in our 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. Joe drives. He also watches the road, his speed, the odometer and other traffic. As navigator I read out the instructions provided by the Rally Master. I also act as a second set of eyes on the terrain. But I do not drive.
As long as we maintain this relationship we not only enjoy the ride, sometimes we win the contest.
Find someone who is in sync with your style.
There is work involved but it doesn't have to be unpleasant.
